Mini Train - Functional City Diorama

After the much liked first Mini Train Diorama: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1087051 i quickly decided to make a little series. This is the third Mini Train. A canyon design with an steam locomotive, passenger wagons and cute a canoe on the river. A little fort and tents are also ready to print to build your western theme if you want.

The new train is compatible to the previous designs.

This is a lovingly designed train diorama with an exciting function of letting the train drive.

The train runs by turning the hand-wheel on the outside, which is controlled by magnetic sliders. The little canoe moves as well.

All printed parts are designed to get an good result with a 0,4 nozzle and with minimal color changes to reduce waste.

Printing:

Note that some parts are very small. Good adhesion is necessary!

Following PLA Basic Filaments are used

Black

Silver

Brown

Bronze → Used for Tent, Fort and Wagons as second brown

Blue

Green

Gold → used for the desert, beige might be an better choice. I ordered it to late.

(Jade White) → Just for tent and canoe

Other colors are possible of course, look what you have in stock.

I think it could be done with single color, if you want to color from hand.

I printed with a 0,4mm nozzle! Iam very pleased with the result but you can try a 0,2 nozzle as well.

Assembly:

You need 7pcs round 4x2 magnets & 1pcs 3x2 (Or stack 3x1) magnets for assembly.

Insert Magnets in the train and canoe all with same polarity (4x2 for train / 3x2 for canoe)

**Insert Magnets in the 4 pins all with same polarity but opposite direction than before! The Pins must attract the train and canoe**

**Insert the pins,use the train and canoe to hold them in place.**

**Arrange the pins so that they are caught by the wheel and press it into position.**

**Terrain on top and press cactus in the holes. You can add a bit of glue to combine.**

**If you like, glue the Fort and Tents on top or take the desert option.**
