Mini Train - Functional Diorama

This is a lovingly designed train diorama with an exciting function of letting the train drive.

The train runs by turning the hand-wheel on the outside, which is controlled by magnetic sliders. The little Ship on the Sea moves as well.

This project is beginner's kit compatible. It uses 8pcs 4x2 magnets.

All printed parts are designed with minimal color changes to reduce waste.

Printing:

Note that some parts are very small. Good adhesion is necessary!

You have to print plate 1&2 for the functions. Plate 3&4 are decorative houses and trees.

Each Plate uses a maximum of 4 colors. That makes it compatible for a single AMS

Following PLA Basic Filaments are used

Black (10101)

Silver (10102)

Jade White (10100)

Mistletoe Green (10502)

Bambu Green (10501)

Blue (10601)

Brown (10800)

PLA Marble Red Granite (13201)

Other colors are possible of course, look what you have in stock.

I think it could be done with single color, if you want to color from hand.

I printed with a 0,4mm nozzle! Iam very pleased with the result but you can try a 0,2 nozzle as well.

Assembly:

You need 8pcs round 4x2 magnets for assembly. → You find them also in the beginner's kit.

Insert Magnets in the train,wagons and ship all with same polarity

And insert 4 magnets in the 4 pins the opposite direction! The Pins must attract the train,wagon and ship

Position the pins, train and ship approximately as shown in the picture

Press the wheel into position so that all pins are captured.

You can remove the train and ship to position the terrain and insert all trees and houses. (You can use a drop of glue here)

Parts should fit without glue but it is better to fix each tree & house with a drop of superglue.
