Description

Yes another AMS silica box…

I tried out some boxes, but for me nothing works out perfect.

My box should be:

  • In and out without to remove a spool
  • Perfect printed in ABS and ASA → then you can dry desiccant with box in the oven
  • No long assembly
  • No long print time
  • Robust and not to flimsy
  • Clean design

Designed it from Scratch and it tuned out well.

I think no one needs a assembly guide or a operation manual, the part stand on his own.

I’m impressed with these. I’ve had a tray version for ages and they’ve been ok but a kind of pain to get at. These actually fit and are ok to pull out while loaded with spools. Only using two currently but the hygrometer went ultra low for the first time ever. One thing I’d suggest is to make the bottom flat with no holes as they don’t serve much purpose in my opinion. Done in PETG and I’m seriously impressed with the lid fit 👍

Printed with Bambu lab PETG. once I got the Filament settings, dialed in, it printed great. Unfortunately, the machine did not acknowledge the successful print and so it won’t let me rate the model positively using the star system. 😏
