#Questions #Commercial License Membership Hey everyone 👋 I have a question about memberships and remix permissions. If I upgrade to a commercial membership that includes the following terms: “Adaption allowed. You are allowed to modify the geometry of the 3D models, but must keep any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices that appear on the site or in the content.” —will that remove the message saying “Remixing is not allowed by this model’s license terms” when trying to share a remix of a model licensed under the Standard Digital File License? Or should I just upload it myself under the Standard Digital File License and mention in the description that it’s a remix? The reason I’m asking is that I first signed up for a basic membership to see if I could get direct permission from the creator to remix and share one specific model without needing to subscribe to their Top Business Member tier. Unfortunately, the creator hasn’t replied to my message on MakerWorld — is there any other way to get in touch with them? Before I upgrade to the more expensive membership, I just want to make sure it will actually allow me to share this model as a remix, as the membership terms seem to indicate. Thanks in advance for any clarification! 🙏

A Funny Story! I had been designing a slingshot, inspired by a Pop-Up Christmas Tree. Just as I was about to share it, I opened MakerWorld—and there it was! A nearly identical Pocket Slingshot by sdaendi. My jaw dropped! At first, I was disappointed, but then I saw how popular his model was. I printed the popup christmas tree made by WimV for my wife, but she did not like how the base looked, so I made a textured base that looks like snow. Printed in white silk PLA to get a glossy snowy look.
