I’m so excited to share something I’ve been working on for a while! 🎉 If you’ve printed Scott and OVERWERK’s original dock—or my remix of it—you might’ve noticed some trouble getting your Apple Watch to charge or stay in place.
I designed this little attachment to fix that! Instead of creating yet another dock, I wanted to make an add-on that works with the original. (Let’s be real—we’ve all used plenty of filament perfecting the dock already! 😅)
I took my time with this project because I wanted to make sure it actually worked—not just in theory, but in real life. After printing about 12 prototypes, I fine-tuned the design to ensure it fits perfectly and prints easily. I truly hope it does the same for you!
This attachment snaps securely onto the dock and holds your Apple Watch charger in place, making it easier to charge your watch without any fuss. It’s simple, functional, and keeps the minimalist look of the original design intact.

SUPPORTS: If you’re not using my print profile, your slicer may want to add supports in several areas. You really only need supports in the tunnel section where the wire channel turns. On my profile, I painted support areas to show where they’re necessary. I tried to design this without supports but eventually gave up 😅.
I’m not an expert at slicing, so feel free to use your own settings and share any good profiles you come up with!
Files Provided: In keeping with Scott’s original spirit of openness, I’ve included the STL, 3MF, and F3D files for this model. By providing the F3D file, you’ll have access to the actual Fusion 360 design, allowing you to tweak, customize, and remix. I didn't give you my timeline history because it's a trainwreck and makes the file insanely slow 😂. Have fun!
I've attached some low-quality photos of the steps. Hopefully, they help, and I'm sorry for my dry hands 😬.
Step 1: Feed the Charger Through the Attachment: Take your Apple Watch charger and feed the wire through the front of the attachment. Make sure the charging surface faces outward.
Step 2: Guide the Wire into the Back Channel: Flip the attachment over and gently start to guide the wire into the channel on the back. Use light pressure to seat the wire snugly.
Step 3: Align the Charger for a Secure Fit: Hold the attachment level and aligned with the charger. Push gently until it snaps into place. If it feels tight, wiggle it slightly to ease it in.
Step 4: Tuck the Wire Neatly into the Channel: Run the remaining wire through the back channel. If needed, use a stylus or a dull tool to press the wire fully into the grooves, keeping it neat and secure.
.
Step 5: Finish with a Clean Setup: Ensure the wire exits neatly through the slot at the end of the channel.
Step 6: Run the MagSafe Wire Through the Bottom Foot: Before attaching the watch charger, feed the MagSafe wire through the bottom foot of the dock. This step ensures the wire stays tidy and doesn’t interfere with the rest of the setup. Once the wire is through, align the attachment and snap it securely onto the dock.
Your Snap-On Apple Watch Charger is now ready to use!
Boost Me (for free)
I appreciate every single boost you’ve given me on my dock remix—it’s the best compliment I could ask for. Thank you all!
I hope this attachment makes your dock even more useful! Thank you for all the amazing support on MakerWorld—it’s been incredible to see how much you’ve loved my remix.
As I mentioned before, I’m still a nervous new designer 😂, but your feedback, downloads, and boosts inspire me to keep creating. If you have any suggestions or feedback on this model, I’d love to hear it! After 12 prototypes, I’m crossing my fingers that this one’s a winner.
