Description

Another creation inspired by the Torospin Turbo. My goal was to minimize purchased parts and the number of printed components. The result is a print-in-place launcher with a planetary gearbox. Just attach the driver, and you're ready to fly. Isn't that awesome? The print profiles include both a 2-color version and a single-color version. Wishing you lots of fun!

It's good. Too good sometimes (its currently on my roof). Super cool that you can print something like this in place!

I am new to 3D printing. Just got my P1S a few weeks ago. Already printed about 8 of these. Amazed how well it works with the print in place gears. Originally printed in PLA but one got left in a car in the Queensland heat and deformed a bit. Have now printed in PETG so hopefully that should be OK. Already getting requests from friends to print them some. Great well designed model

Very cool idea I don’t know why but the gears stuck and I had to scrape them from the bottom to actually spin might try printing at a lower temperature so that way it won’t Seem together

I went through the whole that you stick the pull stick through and I had to use a really skinny Olfa blade. I love this Olfa I swear by it and just keep trying to cut it loose, and it eventually comes loose through those holes. They sell the Olfa’s on Amazon. good luck.

I can't believe I just clicked "print" on this planetary gearbox + ripcord and it printed PERFECTLY. I yeeted the propeller 30' in the air without any post-processing! Thank you and WOW. First thing I printed on my X1C and 3D printing technology has really graduated since Prusa Mk2 days.
