Description

The PegFinity System!

This is a modular system based off of the standard 1"x1" peg board holes. These allow more secure attachment while still allowing EASY removal of modular trays, racks, bins, and more. All trays, bins, and racks are also based off the peg board spacing, so they are all 1" increments in size, allowing stack-ability and side by side mounting. The only hardware needed are 1" Coarse Thread Sheetrock Screws or something similar. I printed all parts in PLA+, which suits me fine for the occasional use that I require. PETG may work better for some, at least for the clips. Most of the trays are fairly robust and not thin.

I designed these socket trays to be very clearly labeled, and color coded for standard (red) and Metric (blue). I also tried very hard to have the multi color designs to be VERY efficient with color changes. This means that most, if not all colors are on single levels. This makes it so there are very low number of color changes per layer. And I also tried to keep similar trays the same heights as well, so multiple trays on the same plate would “cross over” with the same colors on the same layers. The socket retention clips do hold tightly. Figuring that 1, they will loosen up slightly with use, and 2, with removable trays I didn't want sockets falling all over the place. HAHA

CLIPS!

There are 3 styles of clips allowing a wide range of organizational opportunities! Clips are 1" wide and the receiving pockets designed into the mating parts are slightly oversized for easy mounting and release. I've included the model negatives in STL and STEP of the pockets in the RAW Model Files to allow others to make there own additions to the system easier!

The main “Clip V1” is the top attachment point for anything you would like to be removable. Dual pins keep it aligned and a flexible tab holds your stuff in place. These can also be “stacked” allowing this clip to also be the base attachment to the next tray or bin in line, going up your wall.

The second clip is the “Base Only” clip. These are used at the very bottom start of your stacked design. Or where there is no ability to place another item below, like the “EXT Rack” or “Ratchet Rack” where things hang below the bottom of the rack or tray.

The third clip is the “Joining Clip”. This clip is where you would want something to be “non removable” in a sense, and wanted maximum wall space utilized. These clips allow you to stack tray to tray, with no gap in between. These work great for Bins and Cubby's as you wouldn't normally need to have a quick release on this type of item.

Yellow on black was a bad color combo on my part, but the holder itself works great. I modified the clips so I can mount them with the same automotive clips that the Peggit system uses. Clips printed in PETG, holder in PLA.
