Description

This is a smaller version of my “the Fidgety Python”. It has 8 segments and looks way less “suspicious” in the pocket. Sometimes, it's OK to have a short snake.

Please post your builds and shapes.

The joints on this are VERY tight when it comes off the printer. Use the corner of a desk to help support it whilst starting each joint. The end pieces are the hardest, but give it a little time. Once flexed for the first time, they should have a nice lock action.

it works where it didn't bind but trying to twist the parts free seems to snaps pegs edit: nevermind filament tuning issue

Sorry that it didn't work out for you. It's hard to determine the issue from the photos. Still, if you want to adjust the slicer settings, I suggest setting the XY Contour Compensation to -0.05 (located in the precision area of quality).

Thanks! it turned out to be a temp issue with the filament I was using causing the overhangs to sag a little into the pegs

Printed it out via an A1 mini in around 53 mins. Great design and looking forward to kids having fun with the snake 🐍 For making the parts "loose", especially the front and end part I used pliers to help make the twists.
