These are enlarged PTFE load buttons for Python AMS. They're designed to both save the AMS funnels and improve ergonomics and they have an additional PTFE route for the external spool function of Python AMS so you can easily load the spool either through the AMS or outside it (for abrasive filaments for example).

It is not compatible with the stock AMS as they are too tall. For stock AMS or Hydra. / Hydra PRO use the Hydra AMS - PTFE Load Buttons that have a slimmer profile.

Print Settings

Print them in the direction I have set them with the button flat on the bed. Use a layer height of 0.20 mm or lower. Normally you don't have to use any supports but if you like you can use some tree supports for the little locking tab near the top.

You can paint the logo in the slicer if you like (Use the Paint Bucket Tool):

Installation

Press the bottom of the feeder and at the same time install the button. Once done, press down the PTFE tube a little to lock it in place, don't push it down too far though.

Do these work without a Python also? Just on stock AMS?

They will also fit a stock AMS, yes. But only the front hole (closest to the feeder) would be used.

soooo I just printed 4 of these, they look beautiful. Installed them into my AMS. Cut PTFE tubes and inserted them, loaded up my 4 favorite rolls of filament.. ...aaand now the AMS lid won’t close all the way. It hits the top flat part of the load button. Looks like about 5 mm off. Am I the only one with this problem? These are sort of useless if I can’t keep the lid closed since I keep desiccant in there. It's a shame, because they are the nicest load buttons I've tried, they fit well and do make it easier to push. Refraining from giving a star rating until I figure this out, as it could be user error (but I don’t think so).
