Description

Notice!

This is only compatible with the original AMS. Please view my other designs for designs supporting other AMS systems, there are plenty.

Notice, this design is for the newer style of AMS feeding funnel that has a thicker press button. If you're having an older AMS unit with slimmer press buttons, please get the original Hydra AMS - PTFE Load Button here:

Thanks to Kamil Kubica for bringing this to my attention.

Notice: Not all new AMS units will have the newer feeding funnel pictured above, please check yours before printing.

About

These are enlarged PTFE load buttons for Hydra. They're designed to both save the AMS funnels and improve ergonomics.

Which version to print?

There are two versions, the only difference is the clearance against the PTFE tube. For most the “normal” version should fit well. You may want to clear the hole with a 4 mm drill bit.

Print Settings

Print them in the direction I have set them with the button flat on the bed. Use a layer height of 0.20 mm or lower. You can paint the logo in the slicer if you like:

Installation

Press the bottom of the feeder and at the same time install the button. Once done, press down the PTFE tube a little to lock it in place.

You must install the buttons after the main Hydra is in place in the box, not before (there is not enough space otherwise).
