Great print. eats petg but expected... the spegetification inside the handle well due to spanning w/o support wasn't. maybe bowl the bottom of that area a touch in rev2? or add support?
Had to drill out the pin holes a touch as I'm not a fan of using thread-rod or non-shouldered fasteners as a clipping surface--tends to rip-appart mateted materials over time, so used cold-rolled mild-steel rod instead (smallest I could find was still >M3). Pressed the pins in afterwards and works great w/o any other modifications.
Used black bambu basic petg w/ default settings over my mobile to print, overall used about 2/5 of a spool.
Would suggest adding something to service as a "key" or lip to align top/bottom a bit better? positive stop or what not. also a recess in the top or bottom lip to add a sealant material would be nice... maybe a tpu ring or just a clipped off bit if tpu filament (non-extruded) to act as a gasket??
Printed as a case for a "stay in place" toy drone my 5yo printed off, as a hogwatch present to his older brother. perfect fit once I tossed in some case foam.
Printed well. 5 stars for that. Not really sure what to do with this plate. it was 1 of 9, functionally i cant see where it fits in the rest of the tool box.
