Description

A simple variation of original AMS Helper by papsjundi and the PTFE Mod Lite by Dieter W remix to be able to use it with the Multi Filament Spool by giuliolibrando, where I added some changes to make it lock into the AMS edge to prevent from detaching in certain situations.

This remix deserves more credit. It is the only remix that actually withsstands the force of the ams motor. Well done!

Thanks Alex. Please remember to always upload a real photo of your printed pieces on the print profiles you have uploaded, otherwise the administrators will remove them ;-)

Thank you for the information; it was new to me. I had to delete some profiles due to clearance issues encountered during the installation of additional AMS helpers. I've successfully adjusted the model, but I won't be uploading it as it's more of a personal remix than a distinct print profile. I'm curious, is there a specific reason why remixing your model is discouraged? I'd appreciate understanding the rationale behind this policy.

@Alex_3D remixing was discouraged due... to a click in the wrong place on the license type! Now that you've reported it to me I've fixed it: since I published a remix, it's right that others can do the same.

Does it hold better in place than the original?

It stays in place a little better than the original because I slightly thickened the internal walls, but with certain spools it still risks moving. I have a modification in mind that should permanently resolve the possibility of it tipping backwards.

Hi Brisegame, I updated this remix: now it always stays in place because I extended the two front parts so that they lock under the edge of the AMS.

I removed them again. The spools were jumping more than before I installed them to be honest. Maybe I do something wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong, sometimes in my opinion the only way is to add weight inside or make it do half a turn by hand before loading the filament...

It’s super sturdy and looks good but I actually swapped back to a simpler design as it didn’t help with the low spool/jumping spool issues.

Print is very easy but I had a hard time mounting it on slots 1 and 4.
