Customizable Rope Basket

Finally, a rope basket that you can customize!   Using the Customize functionality in MakerWorld you can set your own height and width.  You want a tall and thin pencil holder?  Or maybe a wide basket for bigger items? You can do that with this print.

I developed this for the OpenSCAD Master Challenge contest. Getting the maths right was quite challenging!

Customization

You can customize this by setting the height and width of the basket you want.

Warning: If you see timeout errors when creating this basket through the MakersWorld customizer, then you will need to reduce the number of “Extrude Steps” in the inputs.  This model has a lot of polygons and the tool will timeout if it takes too long to make. The “Extrude Steps” field determines how many sections are in the rope.

• 0.2mm works well, but 0.1 will give you more detail
