Description

We love the story of the Deathly Hallows and the Tale of the three brothers in Harry Potter and I wanted a Litho Lamp for it, so here ya go.

This uses LED strip lights as thats what I typically have a lot of and wanted to put them to use.

Items needed for the Lamp (standard items for lightboxes):

  • 12"+ LED light strip
  • LED terminations to plug into switch
  • Inline switch
  • power supply for LED

Instructions:

  • Remove sticky from LED and insert the end into the Gap at the top of the “Light Stick” printed part.
  • Wrap the LEDs around the stick towards the Cutout at the bottom of the Stick and thread the wire through the internal channel of the Lamp
  • Secure the wire by placing the "Wire Access" cutout printed part into the back channel. (this is a snug fit- make sure you're done before pushing too hard to close it!
  • Connect wiring, switch and power supply
  • Place Litho into the Lamp Base cutout being sure not to pinch the cable and Enjoy!

-------------------------

In case you want to print your own Litho - use the following dimensions to fit the lamp base:

-Bulb Fitter:

-Height 12mm

-thickness 4mm

-Diameter 20mm

Connector:

-Height 12mm

-Width 5mm

I have this error message on the mini A1, any idea what's going on?

That's pretty standard when printing Litho's - there's a lot of overhang in pictures that the slicer wants to add supports to. Ignore it, You're good to print! You can verify this yourself if you'd like by enabling Tree supports, set angle to about 17 or 18 (toss in critical regions only if you want) and it will be totally happy.

can you purchase the litho and if not what filament to print it with? some kinda translucent white filament?

The Litho should be free, no need to purchase. Any white colored filament has worked well for me. I've used PLA and PETG for Lithos with great results.

I usually use white, but once used bone color because it matched the subject matter and worked out great. The closer to white the better and make sure any litho you print you use 100% infill otherwise you'll see the pattern of the fill in your image. Its simply about a thin somewhat translucent plastic.

They needed to be printed with quite a few different settings so I made the Lamp Shade and the base as 2 different print profiles. The Hallows shaped base should be the 2nd Print profile listed. Make Sure you click on that one so that it turns slightly grey and then when you press download that will be the one that gets pulled into Bambu studio.
