Description

Make All your herbs easy in the kitchen.

This planter ensures that your herbs stay fresh and hydrated.

If you dont yourself use fresh herbs, i know this will be a great gift for those who do.

The Design is made to be as aesthetic as possible, an eyecather in any kitchen.

The pattern slopes ever so gently arround the planter, and together with the

colored rings it gives the look a soothing feeling.

HOW IT WORKS

The self watering planter is designed to slowly absorb water from the reservoir (This needs to be filled up occasionally).

Its a one piece print (uni body) with a clear and visible water reservoir, so you dont need to lift a inner pot, or rely on a floater to tell you how much water is left.

Simply just look in the in the reservoir, and fill it up if needed.

There are 4 water inlets in the planters, where it is recommended to use a wicking material at the bottom.

This helps to absorb water into the soil slowly and prevent excess moisture in the soil.

To much moisture can reduce oxygen in the soil, damage fine root hairs, and render the root system unable to absorb water.

You can place a couple of cotton balls / cotton wool in the bottom of the pot.

Filaments used in the print are Bambulab PLA basic white, and E3D Premium PLA silky copper.

Extremely elegant design, especially with the gold accents! One of the best self-watering planter aesthetically. When I printed mine though, the silk PLA portion on the bottom with your name seems to constantly leak a little bit of water. Not sure if it's just my silk PLA or if that area is just less watertight because of the branding

Did you use bambulab pla? and the provided print profile? mine isnt leaking. if you cant resolve the leaking, then i know that (here in Denmark) there is something called "water glass", that can be used to seal leaking pots (i dont know if exist elsewhere)

Replying to @EPIQ3D :
I downloaded this one also on 6-25-2024. No holes. However, I fixed by heating the .2mm hex key to red hot and then slowly pushed it through, to make the hole. Did one on each side. Works fine.

I am having trouble getting Bambu studio to slice this. It seems to just stall out at 15% when slicing the plate and wont finish. Any suggestions?

unfortunately no, i dont know if it is a processor related issue or.. my pc also takes a bit time, but eventually comes around after some minutes (with an i5 13500) its a rather complex calculation for the pc apparently

also, the model is high definition (lots a triangles) so maybe i can try to upload a "low poly" later today, and se if it works.

Love the planter... only just got my printer and hoping to get some filaments to make this one. Also wanting to move in to designing.. do you mind revealing what software you used to create this? Cheers
