Description

This parametric model has grown over time and did not fulfil its current purpose from the beginning, nor was it born out of exact rocket science. Since it is in constant development, you can write me suggestions for improvement as a comment or as a direct message.

Meet PACI

Parametric All-In-One Connection Imaginator

In my daily work creating 3D objects, I found myself creating parts that have an almost identical or at least similar structure, so it was time for me to simplify my work steps.

So the idea behind this connector is to quickly create objects that can be used in everyday repair and construction work (or whatever you do with your 3D printer) without having to start from scratch every time you create a 3D object.

Adjustment options

  • Foundation and side walls for all directions
  • Up to 4 holes on each side for screws or plug-in connections
  • Options to configure slopes and ramps
  • Additional settings to improve printquality
  • Enough possibilities to let your imagination run wild

What's next?

  • Leave the realm of right angles and implement the tilting of axes
  • Possibility to move the holes evenly across all axes
  • The change between calculation as inner or outer diameter

Notes

As already mentioned above, the script is based on continuous further development and is therefore not free of errors. However, I have not yet come across any errors that could not have been solved with common sense using some provided options.

Example: "You don't want a foundation? Then simply set the height of the foundation to zero".

Have fun trying out and exploring the possibilities, I'm looking forward to seeing your creations!

I tried to make a plant pot with the PACI and am surprised that I even find the results visually appealing. 🤣 As soon as I have some nice filament for it, I'll print it out and add the photo here.
