Description

This dust port adapter is designed specifically to connect a Dust Right 4" Quick Change to a Ridgid R4123 Miter Saw. I have other Ridgid tools that this will work for, so long as they have a shop vac dust hose port.

I have a small wood shop in my basement and only have room for one large dust hose that I move from tool to tool as needed. I do not have a dedicated miter saw station and needed something I could connect to my saw to my dust collector quickly when I have it on my bench. The Dust Right 4" Quick Change system has adapters you can buy but in my experience the joint is not durable enough when connecting to smaller tools. Aside from that, they are about $30 for a 2-pack.

I designed this model in about 10 minutes, printed in about 3 hours, using about $3 in PETG. It is almost impossible to completely solve dust collection for a miter saw; however this is a much better alternative to dragging a shop vac out or just allowing dust to spray everywhere.

This port was designed with a slight taper for a snug - pressure fit in the back of the saw and can be left on the tool without adding bulk.

I printed in PETG, with 4-walls and 25% infill. Due to the angle, no supports are necessary. It would likely print fine, and be just as functional with PLA but I had a lot of PETG on hand and decided to use it.

If you print this model, please leave a like and post a make. Let me know if you have any questions.

Enjoy!
