My favourite espresso WDT tool (the one I keep coming back to, after trying quite a number!).
Posted here because:
- I keep wanting to print these, and it's so much easier from my phone if it's on Makerworld!
- I've experimented with a number of different settings, and this is my favourite combination so far.
If you print the round 58mm base as below, this is also compatible with my coffee organisation system :)
I've arranged the parts on several plates:
- The round 58mm base, and the version with slightly larger holes for the needles, as I find this works every time. If you haven't calibrated your specific filament, this is definitely the one to print.
- Hex base, with slightly larger needles holes as above.
- Round base, smaller holes. If you haven't calibrated your filament, I don't recommend this one.
- Hex base, as per #3 above.
- All of the parts from the original design. Remove the parts you don't want to print.
1-4 above are all versions without the logo on the handle, as this is what I prefer. If you'd like the logo'd version, you can print it from plate 5.
Print Settings
- After experimenting with several versions, I've found it helpful to have ironing on for the base piece (my profiles above all include this). That's because a smoother finish is easier to clean!
- If you re-arrange things, don't forget to turn the handle and body pieces flat-side down (i.e hollow-side up), so you don't end up with messy insides! It won't screw together properly in this case.
- My profiles are set to .16mm layer height. This results in a cleaner inside. I've also found it works on 0.2mm, but I prefer the higher-quality print.
