Description

Here in Pennsylvania we got to experience the Brood X , I know theres a couple other waves incoming through the states. If you share a love for little creatures like these please print yourself some of my cicadas! Thanks for taking a look.

I've had no luck at all printing this. I've tried different filaments (PLA and Silk), different print beds (smooth and textured), different bed temperatures (55-65). Always the same failure about the same spot 2hrs into the print - the leaded edges of the main body curl up on every single object. I was really looking forward to surprising my wife with these but after 3 attempts with no change in outcome, I just don't know what to try next - it's obvious that others are having success so I can't really blame the model or the supplied profile (I've not modified it beyond setting it to my P1P printer).

I've never had luck with those plates and anything adhering to them. I use the textured pei plate. I've printed these non stop on an X1c and A1 minis. Maybe hit your plate with some 91% and try again, usually finger oils are the culprit for bed adhesion. Another thing to try is gyroid infill, from the pic it looks like grid?

It's just using the default infill for the profile - I've not adjusted it. As for the build plate, I've had no other adhesion issues with it - if anything, PLA sticks to it *better* than either my textured or smooth PEI plates (not a bad thing, just have to ensure it cools fully before removing a print). So, this curling isn't related to the plate. I just tried the print on my A1-Mini with a single copy of the multi-filament cicada model and it printed flawlessly. This leads me to think that there is some adjustment in the default profile that's at odds with how the P1P wants to print and so I'm going to do some experimenting with resetting the profile and building it up from there. The print off the A1-Mini was super clean so very happy with the design.

ok so I think there's a glitch or something , I deleted uploaded files and only have the 4 color one now and it shows up if you choose download stl for some reason but it is the 3mf. Then if you pick the .3mf it's the single color. Very odd! - I'm new to makerworld also but something wasn't adding up haha.
