Boost Me (for free)

Update (09.06.2024): Added a new parameter “Padding” to enable an optional tighter fit for the cards

A parametric card box/case for all your cards, no matter how big the cards or tall the stack. Customize the dimensions of the card box for your needs to always get a perfect fit.

Features

  • Parametric: Use the “customize”-button to fit your cards perfectly
  • Perametric presets for some card games
  • Top and bottom parts that clip together (sometimes, the box needs to be bent a bit in order to get it closed or opened. That should be like this in order to keep it from opening accidentally)
  • Hole for seeing what cards are inside
  • Thick frame to protect your cards (mostly)
  • Looking cool :D

Recommended print settings (or simply use one of the provided print profiles and exchange the model)

  • Layer height: 0.2mm
  • Enable Supports
  • Support Type: Tree

Guide for splitting the STL into two separate parts (for big cases or small printers)

  1. Load the STL into Bambu Studio
  2. Under “Process” switch to “Objects”
  3. Right click your object and select “Split” > “To objects”

@Molodos thanks for this model I searched since quite some time for something like this. Do you remember how much extra-space you added? It's a little bit too lose for my preferences and I don't want to itterate multiple times to find the perfect dimensions. Maybe it would also help others who like a tighter fit 😁

The space is 1.5mm on each side of the cards. But the clips on the top part of box extend 1.5mm inwards, each. Therefore the space is needed in order to prevent the clips from scratching the card :)

Update: One could of course just make the corners with less space. I think I will try that tomorrow or so

They work great for all card-shaped objects, I use them for my rectangular sanding paper so it does not distribute around in the Systainer during transport and is very easily accessible. Thank you for your model and your great OpenSCAD script :)

printed good, but it was too small for the cards I wanted to put in it sadly.

Thanks for the review! Feel free to click on "customize" (when using makerworld on pc) in order to use the parametric functionality. This way you can enter the exact card deck dimension and get a model with a perfect fit :D

Tanks for adding more Settings to the file, reduced the extra-space around the cards and it turned out perfectly. I'll definitely make more of them for other games.🥳 The only thing what I miss a little bit are rounded Edges. They feel okay but I think with a little bit more radius it will add a better feeling. But its nothing that's necessary 😉

Tree support areas are not clean and the card pack is too tall for some reason...
