Introducing a innovative self-watering planter which is a planter with a clay texture, featuring a detachable stand and designed to be printed without supports. Simply place your plant and soil in the interior container, slide it into the exterior container, pour water through the fill hole, and seal it with the fill cap. This clever design seamlessly accommodates existing plants brought from the store by easily transferring them from their 4" pots into the planter.

For the plant stand, it is crucial to print it as shown to maintain the optimal strength of the screw threads. While PLA works well, please avoid exposing it to direct sunlight if you intend to leave it outside. Consider using ASA filament for outdoor placement to ensure durability and longevity.

This is by far one of my favorite lanter designs! Print profile and finished print are spot on.

Hello, I used Inland Matte Rainbow Clay PLA basic filament. Looks amazing with your design!

I've used PETG, ASA and PLA to print these. So, I don't think it's necessary to use a specific filament. I've found matte filaments look best.

looks great but man did mine leak all over the place. Not very usable for me outside of for my mini cacti

What type of filament did you use? I've printed dozens of these without ever seeing a leak issue. Maybe check the inside to see if there's some sort of print irregularity?

I used PETG for it. I ended up spraying some flex seal on it and now it doesn’t leak!

hmm. come to think of it I'm not sure I ever printed in PETG. I'll have to try. I always use ASA when I want to print for outdoors and then PLA what I'm printing for indoors.

Turned out nice. Changed printer type to X1C and scaled it up to 125%. Planter works very well and scales up easily.

how did you scale the leg bolts? I tried 125% but they turned out too big.

The legs and the platform both have to be scaled the same.

I did a water test after and it holds. printed on a finer slower setting. I tried some supports put I don't think it needed it, it kinda ruined my almost perfect print.
