Description

Summary

This is a center console tray (with coin tray) remix from jonco223's design. The original design is great but I just have some pet peeves that I needed to modify...

The following are the modifications:

  1. Fix - The wall thickness below the coin tray is too thin for 0.4mm nozzle to print, I was getting a pin-hole in my original print.

  2. Fix - The step-down from the top ledge is rubbing against the center console cover. I recessed it back 10mm. This problem will show up if you plan on flocking the tray - the rubbing will rub off the flocking fibers and the paint.

  3. Mod - Added a partial opening in the front of the tray to allow cable or light to come thru from the bottom of the center console.

  4. Mod - Rounded out most of the straight edges in the tray as (and I'm still learning) sharp corners don't stick to flocking fibers too well.

Hey, how did you do the “fuzzy” fabric finish?

This is a post print process. The process is called flocking. You can find flocking kits on Amazon or eBay.

This a great addition to the Tesla model 3. Note this only works with some Tesla models

Great part, fits nicely and closes up nicely. I printed in PLA Matte and it's awesome.
