Description

I've designed 2 Spinning Flowers keyring. They are printed in 3 parts that click all together.

The keyring part and the center of the flower are generic, i.e. are the same for both flowers. Check below for the instructions.

There are two versions that you can find in the profiles:

  1. AMS multicolor
  2. Monocolor

For the mono version I've added the two flower types in the same profile. If just want one just delete the other.

Assembly

Notes:
In case it is not completely clear on the assembly video, the orientation of the flower when snapping in the middle part it is very important.

Snap the middle part onto the side of the flower with the larger hole (as indicated below).

Glue… Optional (but recommended):

Although pieces snap it together nicely, for a stronger assembly you can put a bit of glue in the keyring part before snapping it together with the middle part. The image just shows where to put the glue.

Be careful not to put to much or to leave bits of glue outside otherwise the flower may not spin.

Additional Notes

For the multicolor AMS version I've design it in a way that is quite easy to choose the colors of each element. Just click in Objects in the Process tab and select which color you want in each element:

Important: All pieces should snap in together as shown in the Assemby video. Proper Printer calibration is quite important otherwise print may not work at all. If it doesn't work for you please calibrate your printer and/or make sure filament is dried.

A great quick print, the mechanism is really tight and doesn’t really spin so much as turn with some force. I’m gonna try and print again.

Thanks for the comment. It could be many things but try to reduce a bit the flow rate or temperature... Each filaments have their own sweet-spots and small differences are enough to over-extrude.
