Description

This ground up design was inspired by dylanaukes (https://makerworld.com/en/models/21643#profileId-19791) for their use of LV-H128-RF / LV-13EU-RF filters. I prefer these filters for their HEPA + Activated-Carbon filtration properties, readily available and their ideal size for the task.

The filter housing is magnetically attached with strong 8x3mm magnets to the back panel so they don't shift. I use two; one over the Chamber fan exhaust (permanently in place) and another temporarily covers chute / electronics exhaust grill while printing strong VOC materials (i.e ABS / ASA). The later will block / limit poop chute capacity but a reasonable compromise for that print, just remember to remove and clear chute tunnel afterwards.

I recommend attaching some thin felt (or paper masking tape) on the attach surface to improve the seal. I made it functional and quick but will get around to adding a TPU seal at one stage.

UPDATE (3-May-2024): Updated model and profile to include TPU gasket, added extra build plate for single or double filter housing and filter.

When I measure the magnet-holes in Bambu Studio, they are only 8mm wide!

Yes you are quite right, the current model is of 8mm not 10, I'll update accordingly.
