Description

This is a Re-Mix of nyx_nk's Bambulab P1P/P1S USB LED. check is model out too!

I made it only as an on-off switch and you can mount your leds where ever and or control whatever you want with this switch using the little vent hole on the top right off the P1 Series.

I made it us a latching switch from amazon and a usb strip from amazon also.

The on-off switch uses the top vent hole on the P1 series. This model does require a M4 brass heat insert and a M4 x 6mm screw.

There is a wire channel to route the one wire through to connect to the switch. The latching switch is rated at 1.5amp which is the same amp rating on the front USB port. So you can use that to power the led strip.

You will need to know how to solder and wire to install this and these are not the best install instructions as nyx_nk already did a great job at that. Give him a like!

Install:

-You need to remove front LCD and then the two screws behind the screen.

-Then there is one more screw on the inside toward the front right.

-After you can gently pop the top plastic trim off. (remove sd card to prevent accidently ejecting it across the room)

-Then slide the switch into the part and press it down to seat it into place.

-Next wire up your leds or whatever you are controlling

-Then slide the whole printed part with button in place, the FR in the part would face toward the front right corner of the printer.

-Secure the hole part from the bottom using M4 screw.

-Followed by sliding the trim part back on and replace the front two screws and lcd and happy printing! The 3rd screw might not fit or be a pain to get back in so I left it out.

This fits in my P1S so let me know if you have any issues.

Thanks for the mod! I printed it and also the screw insert on the underside went flawlessly in. However, I am now stuck at the "Remove LCD" part. Do you have any instruction how to remove the LCD? I can't get the top plastic rim off :( EDIT: I used my Dremel to remove a port of the button. Now, the button can be inserted without any LCD removal etc. Will add a Remix soon. Until then: Use a dremel (or apply a negative cyclinder) to remove the part opposite of the already existing gap at the top (see attached paint draw). Then you just have to barely lift the plasticto make it move in place. No unscrewing needed or LCD removal needed. EDIT 2: I added a bambu profile where I applied a negative cylinder to get the gap. I didn't print it again, but it is obvious that it will work. I already printed the original one, used my Dremel to make the same gap and now it works.

A little fiddly to install and I smoothed up the layer lines on the button with light sanding so it moves easily.   It would hang in the down position sometimes before, but that could have been the filament.

Thanks it looks great, would you mind posting a before and after screen shot from either BS or Handy? Im curious how much the P1s camera will darken the exposure with the light on.
