This is a tolerance test for print in place hinges. These are the same style of hinges I use in my Articulated Hexapod, Pop-up Catapult and Latching Box print in place models.
Depending on the model, different levels of hinge tightness may be required.
For example, the hinge connecting a box and lid should be fairly loose. You want it to swing freely so the box is easy to close. But for a poseable figure, you want the hinges to be loose enough so that they're easy to move, but tight enough to stay in place once positioned.
You can use this test to calibrate the spacing that works best for your printer, material, and print settings.
Print this with the same material and settings you plan to use for the print in place model you wish to print. No supports necessary.
