Description

This is a cap that covers the top of the z-axis threaded rods to prevent dust and filament bits from getting in there.

2 covers print in roughly 9.5 minutes and uses 1 gram of filament.

 

There is a round cutout so the top of the rod/rubber plug does not rub against the printed cover!

Optimized for 0.16mm layer height.

If printing ASA or ABS, increase the “Max fan speed threshold → Layer time” in Filament Cooling settings to at least 6 seconds.

 

To install, simply snap into place with 2 fingers using a very small amount of force.

Easily removable with your fingernail.

 

Due to variances in printing, if you want an absolutely perfect fit - please try printing 4 and choose the best 2.

You can also try scaling X/Y/Z by 0.3% - 0.5% in the slicer.

a bit loose but still work as is… as long as they won’t fall, that’s fine thanks for the model

It should not matter. You can always scale up by a very small percentage since not every filament/printer prints exactly the same. It’s a very tight tolerance between being too loose and too tight, so I used dimensions that worked the best on average after doing a lot of tests.

The first on printed perfect the second one didn't I think I just need to wash plate but funny thing was I needed just one anyway
