Description

BambuLab AMS Silica Gel Box With Hygrometer - Full Set of 5 boxes

The project comes pre-oriented on the build plate. No supports are required when printing the pieces.

 

The hygrometer/thermometer just clicks in place.

If you want an accurate reading do not fill with silica the central one with the sensor.

Hardware:

 

The plates are divided by box type:

  • 01 - One large central box with humidity sensor/thermometer
  • 02 - Two large boxes
  • 03 - Two small boxes for the sides (optional)

Assembly Istruction

  • Insert the side panels into the central box by sliding them into the grooves
  • slide the cover on the panel tracks until it bottoms out

Edit: I feel like there is a flaw in this design that the other desiccant boxes elsewhere don't have. This one has the side loading drawers that can fall out when standing upright. Its hard to stay locked and can just open up on its own. I just lots a TON of desiccant all over the floor. I feel like having it load from the side, particularly where the door loads from the bottom not the top means gravity can open the door easily. I am going to go with the top loading versions. If you wanted to update these design you could simply have the door slide come from the top. Previous Comment: Works pretty well I just have issues with sliding locks not locking on all the boxes. This could depend on filament used but a simple fix would be to just thicken the bump on the lock. It should provide a better lock for everyone even those where it works okay. I can update it if the original creator can provide the fusion files. Also you can simply add it yourself inside the slicer. Thanks for the great file.

Yeah I have the same issue, it slides down when I try and take it out. It needs to be improved. Maybe using a little tape until then will solve the problem.

Nice and clean, easy to print with great results. See my comments below [updated thisnpost becsude initially I mistake the photo mostly] printed yours, single color, overture PLA, no changes in the std parameters predefined i liked a lot because the size of tbe grid is much more apropriste for the dry dry orange indicating silica that i have as it does not allow any small pellets to fall out I found the boxes very sturdy and essy to fit in the AMS. the tolerances to assemble the boxes were very tight (I sanded just a bit couple of the fitting borders), but that tight tolerances most probably is what make this boxes feel very sturdy. definitively loved them thanks
