Description

If you're looking for a convenient 3D-printed filament spool that is designed to be self-supporting and easy to use, check out this amazing spool design.
It's 3D printable without any support material, and it can hold up to 1.5kg of filament or 527m of length. It has a simple thread mechanism that makes it easy to assemble and disassemble. Plus, it looks cool and futuristic on your desk or shelf.

Flange Diameter: 200mm

Traverse Width: 55mm

Belly Diameter: 70mm

Part 1> 2h22m
93g

Part 2> 1h42m
50g

Total > 4h
140g

Things you should consider before printing it:

  • The hole diameter of the spool is just 40mm so make sure of the size of your filament holder first.
  • My printer is well calibrated so I didn't need any clearance for the threads.
  • However, if you need to modify anything the Fusion 360 files are already included along with other files.
  • You just need to print 2 files (Part 1 and Part 2) the other files are just variations with different suffixes.
  • could be printed without a brim
  • No support is needed (for the Print, I need it, do not forget to hit the like button😉)
