Description

This is a remix of FreakyDude's Extruder Lever Brace - all credit to him for the original design!

I had to edit this for the different screw mounts on Fysetec's USB Portable Input Shaper, to make it wider to not collide with the fan duct, and to remove the holes for the pins (since this is a USB accelerometer). I run Klipper off of a Linux instance on an older android phone, so wiring an ADXL345 was not an option for me.

Printed in Overture Transparent PETG at 0.2mm height. There is a good amount of tolerance for a 4/40 nut and screw (I used a 1/2in long screw), but always make sure your printer is calibrated correctly, or adjust X/Y hole compensation accordingly. Feel free to use metric equivalents.

Make sure to turn off supports. You don't want the hole on the underside filled.

Assembly as follows:

  1. Attach 4/40 screws to top side of ADXL345, and 4/40 nuts to underside to act as spacers.
  2. Slip in two 4/40 nuts (or metric equivalent) to bottom of brace
  3. Attach USB ADXL345 to top of brace using two 4/40 screws. Make sure to hold the nut in place to not push it away.
  4. Slip brace onto extruder, making sure to line up the gears to the space carved out on the brace.

Happy printing!
