Description

I was looking for a way to neatly organize all the tools and extra stuff that comes in the cardboard box as well as some extra nozzles, so I designed this. It fits right under the screen and has a locating tab in which the front foot sticks through to hold it in place. The drawer has a catch that you have to lift the front of the drawer up to get past so that it won't just pull all the way out accidently.

The first Pic is the original A1 Foot and the Second is the new Foot.

UPDATE 6/21/24 – I added a new profile with redesigned foot for Second Gen Machines.

Print turned out great. No pic with it installed yet because I decided to add magnets to keep/pull it closed. Can you add an inset to the left corner for a magnet? and if you do, can you make an add on for those who have already printed this?

2 questions, Has the post recall foot issue been resolved? and why does the 2 color option take like 14 hours longer to print? What am i missing?

I just received a new machine today, so I'll be addressing foot issue this weekend. As far as multi color prints go, it has to change filament every layer on the way up at 1.5min per color swap.

yeah, I figured that out shortly after posting the comment. I didn't realize there was a black A1 on the top.

The A1 on the top is not the cause of the time difference. It is the color on the front of the drawer. As it prints it has to change colors on every single layer and that takes a significant amount of time. The A1 on the top is only a few layers and compared to the logo on the front is negligible in the amount of time it adds.

It most certainly does use the foot pad to help retain the drawer assy while still allowing vibration dampening of the foot pad. If I had made it fit any tighter, the machine would essentially be sitting solid on drawer which is not good.

Apologies, I meant that the hole for the foot pad is too small, I'm not able to get the foam pad through it without damaging it. I have the post-recall A1, maybe the sizes are slightly different?
