Description

HeroQuest [Avalon Hill / Hasbro] Rise of the Dread Moon

Box Insert Organizers

This is an organization insert for the Rise of the Dread Moon quest box expansion for HeroQuest. It fits the entire contents in easy to remove trays that can keep you organized even during play. The model holder itself was inspired by ClixAccessories HQ organizer on thingiverse, however this holder and everything in the box was designed from scratch by me. In fact the mini holder required special dimensions to accommodate the minis with weird bases.

Contents:

  • Mini Holder
    • Holds the minis by the bases protecting them from being scratched or rubbed if painted, as opposed to the original vacuform inserts it came with
    • NOTE: One end of the holder has a pattern on the back wall, that is to denote the end where the ghosts and statues go because their bases are non-standard.
  • Door and Mirror Base Holder
  • Card Slotted Holder
  • Furniture Holder
  • Holding Rack for Tokens

Print Settings:

  • Standard PLA Settings for .4 Nozzle
  • Layer Height .28 (Standard .2 works fine, but .28 looks the same and prints faster)
  • Wall Loops: 2
  • Sparse Infill: 10% (Trying to save filament really)
  • Support Enabled: Tree Auto, Build Plate Only, Critical Only
    • Originally it printed perfect without supports, but I removed the bottoms of the card and token boxes in an effort to save filament and print time.

V2 Update: The pictures are from Version 1. Version 2 is identical except the whole thing is -1mm in width. V1 fit fine but it was a tight fit and I was worried someone might try to force it and risk scratching or ripping the box.
