Introducing 'Slimpill,' a minimalist pill container designed for convenience and ease of use. As someone who often carries pills, I wanted to create something that fits seamlessly into everyday life. This keychain-format container is as small as a key, making it easy to carry in your pocket alongside your keys without adding bulk.
The key feature of this design is its one-handed operation. Based on experience with cumbersome containers, I designed it to be easily opened and used with just one hand, allowing you to discreetly take your medication with minimal effort.
Pills are disposed in line to minimize bulk without sacrificing durability and are easily accessed thanks to a sturdy dovetail rail for easy opening and a simple closing lip.
The print is quick, without supports or hard to print geometries. I'm still testing it daily, so please try it.
This design holds up to five 11mm by 4.5mm pills. Please write down your most used pill size so I can add widely used formats.
A 7 day version is in the works.
Just print and insert the top part in the rail. It's a tight fit so make sure to align the rail correctly (the base of the two prints is on the outside) and, for the first few closures, press down firmly when you reach the end of the stroke, where there is the clip to keep the container closed. The container stays closed thanks to this clip and the friction of the rail.
Prints easily, tested in PLA and PETG.
