Description

Inspired by the many really good boxes here, I have developed this design. What bothered me so far was that the display is always placed vertically in the box, which always makes the readability a bit difficult depending on the location. So I angled the front slightly backwards so that the display looks more in the line of sight.

I printed it with PLA-CF from Bambu. Support is only needed for the version with display cutout. Here I used Tree-Support.

The thermometer/hygrometer I used was the "Thlevel Mini LCD Digital Thermometer Hygrometer" from Amazon. For comparison, I had all three lying next to each other for over an hour (see last photo), and I think these very minimal deviations are acceptable.

 

NOTE

As it has often been noted here that the printed housing has broken when installing the hygrometer, I would like to point out that the clips on the hygrometer must be cut off before insertion. If these clips are removed, the printout will not break.

Great design, fits perfectly. I don't know what the hole in the cap is for, thanks to it I've got some silica balls in my ams but whatever. Thanks!

Thanks Andrej. That hole, well... I thought it could be a good idea to have a hole for the finger, to get that box better out of the AMS. Well, looking at it more closely, this was probably a stupid idea. 😃 I will update it without that hole.

As mentioned before, I updated the model and added a cover without the hole but with Bambu logo instead.

printed on x1c with bambu pla silver (silk) - fits perfect - used the original "designer profile" with supports habe zwei verschiedene AMS Versionen, passt für beide das Hygrometer ist noch auf dem Weg zu mir, werde aber auch die Nasen abschneiden, damit nichts ausbricht

That fits perfect in my AMS! But i don't know if the Hygrometer is really good :D Drops from 25% to 10% in about 2 hours. I don't know. But i think it will do the job very well! Thank you!

I had noticed the same. I think the problem is that the hygrometer is too close to the silica gel. I have now stopped filling the box with the hygrometer with the silica gel. Now the displayed values also seem much more plausible.

looks amazing in pla-cf (like always) I recommend printing lids and bases separately if eliminating matte witness lines from speed changes is something you care about.
