Description

Remix using LED Lamp kit 001 is now posted along with a remix to fit the Bambu CMYK panels

This is my take on the popular 4 pane lithophane lantern. The panes are 115mm x 145mm x 4mm so new panes can be created easily via online lithophane generators. I will be posting a remix to make use of the standard Bambu LED lamp kit light as well.

*Edit - Someone pointed out that the welcome gnome lithophane was not in the lithophane profile. I have uploaded a new profile that contains the original 4 plus the 2 missing panes. Sorry about that.

The design has been updated to include screw in feet and screws to secure the top and bottom together, making it very secure.

The light is provided by an E12 socket with an LED bulb. Like the one below. These can be purchased in bulk and are fairly inexpensive.

Thank you ☺️ I dry brushed this with copper from Citadel. Printed in black from Elegoo. No primer, but 2 coats of matte clear varnish.

Out of curiosity could you remix it to use the standard lithophane dimensions for the CMYK lithophane bundle? https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/knowledge-sharing/CMYK-color-lithophane-printing-instructions it's 144(W)*108(H)

They specify 144mm*108mm so it would be taller than wide. i assume you'd want it flipped so the 144 is taller? Or are you specifically wanting a shorter/wider lantern?

Thank you for catching that :D yeah 144(H) x 108(W) . I forgot I started doing them more that orientation since the frame allows for both viewing angles

Okay, I'll work on it. They don't specify printing their panes with a frame so I will use the dimensions but add a screenshot for a small frame so the panel fits in the slot without a bunch of wiggle. I have a lot going on at work right now so it may be a couple days.

I couldn't find a light that fit and ended up going with a wired puck light. came out great! thank you!

In case you ever need to replace these should fit perfectly. I've printed and used these in at least 10 different lights. I don't have any CMY filament at the moment but I'll grab some at some point and give it a try. I have been sticking to white lithophanes because that is what my wife likes.
