I can see this working but on many spools but not all. For a "universal" clip it doesn't fit 1 of the 3 brands of filament I use. I would say the thickness of the bambu outside spool rim is as big as I would go because it feels like the clip is at its snapping limit. If the spools brim is very thin I'd use a different clip as thats the problem i have on one brand.
I haven't encountered this problem until now. I tried with a lot of brands: sunlu, jayo, esun, eryone, geetech, giantarm, and others. Did you only encounter the problem with Bambu spool? Tomorrow I will receive some material from Bambulab, I will test it and if necessary I will modify the model. Thank you for your feedback ;)
Hi Frank, thanks for your response. The 2 brands I have the most issues with are Amolen and Isanmate. the clips seem to fit very loosely on both, some clips just fall off. Maybe, another profile for thinner spools idk but thanks for your time. Also, one thing I noticed is that because there is small difference in the printed teeth that grip the spool some clips fit better than others but I think that just falls under print quality/rng.
