Description

This build plate rack was designed to complement the aesthetics of the X1C and look good beside it. The model snaps together without need for fasteners but you may use glue to permanently bond the pieces together. I used Bambu Lab matte light grey and black PLA for the base and nameplate, and Bambu Lab Silver Basic PLA for the front, back and top pieces. To match the P1 series, change the filament selection to black with white for the letters (each letter is an object). For assembly I would suggest sliding the nameplate to the front piece first, then snap the front and back pieces to the top piece upside-down, and finally snapping the bottom piece in place. Make sure you clean the support material out of the fastening slots completely for a nice fit.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Order of assembly is very important, as by design it is virtually impossible to put the top piece in last. Lay the top piece upside down on a table first, then push either the front or back piece down on it, wiggling it a bit at the start with an ever so slight (like half a degree) inner angle. The ribbed part is actually lightly tapered. Push down with your palm and it should click in. Putting in the bottom piece last spreads out the assembly straight and completes the self locking.

Really nice. I ended up changing to support cubic infill and it saved a lot of time. The tolerances are tight, which is really nice once snapped together. Great model, thank you

It fas tight but perfect. Bambu does not have stock, an I had to print it with space gray pets and white pla. But I would have liked to print it in the same colors as you. Great design.

I think it looks good in gray and white. Now you just have to get an A1 to match it :)

Enjoyed printing this. Thank you for the Design. I cloned the side without the name plate on it and printed two of them for each side. Used PETG-CF, most of the default settings, increased infill to 30% and used gyroid pattern. I plan to print it again soon. Thanks again.

Nice print! Yes, I did make the back and front pieces interchangeable for people who don't want the name plate. Love seeing it in black, glad you enjoyed printing it.

Absolutely Amazing design!! Definitely the best one I've seen thus far! wasn't too hard to put together at all and printed beautifully! Just be sure to follow maker's instructions and snap the sides into the top piece first and you'll have No issues. I might have scraped an extra layer off the supports at the bottom, but I'm still in love with it. I may reprint the name plate on my smooth pei plate as the one in these photos were on my textured plate. Still looks great and matches my printer quite well. Truly the best looking and most sturdy one I've personally seen out there. Again, EXCELLENT design! THANK YOU SOOO very much for sharing!

loved the print, although very long print with 4 walls, now I'm thinking about adding rubber pad at the bottom, the sound of plates sliding down is so scary ahah

This looks like a store bought piece! Super nice with plenty of space for build plates. I used IIIDMAX Space Gray and IIIDMAX Silver for the colors Basic black for the Text. Really happy with this piece. Great design!
