Description

I was not happy with any of the leather stitching ponies I could find to print, so I designed this up in a few min and it works great!

I printed in PLA although ASA would be ideal if you have an enclosure, I just didn't have enough ASA on hand.

No supports needed

Hardware:
2.5in 5/16 bolts Qty: 2 (cut 1 to size for base or get a shorter one.)
5/16 nuts Qty: 2

Great model! Really solid in the places it needs to be and, likewise, supple where it needs to be. Printed in PLA and all is great with a 0.4mm nozzle. As in a previous comment, if you’re not using freedom units then M8 nuts are your friends, just pop them into the knobs on pause. 65mm bolt for the cross brace, 40mm for the base for me.

Wouldn't recommend ASA, had a few layer defects towards the end of the print, parts aren't particularly pretty, but still work well and as intended. I glued 1mm leather to the inside of the clamp arms to stop it marking any work. Hexagonal M8 x 65mm worked equally as well as 5/16" mentioned in the instructions for this print. (I'm aware they're almost identical - shhh - I had to do math for this print & I didn't enjoy it :-p)
