Hornet Mask (Hollow Knight) (Teen/Child Sized)
Print Profile(8)

Description
This is the Hornet mask from Hollow Knight. I used actual video game images (2d) to determine the dimensions to try and get it as accurate as possible. The mask fits my kids 16 and under very well, but my big head doesn't fit without some additional modifications (hopefully your head is smaller than mine, or you are willing to trim the sides a bit to make it work). The print is pretty straight forward, with minimum support needed. I printed mine in “fast draft” mode, because I knew I would sand and paint it after. I included a slots on the sides in case you want to add a strap to keep it on your head (for those more acrobatic cosplayers). I divided it into 3 parts so that it would fit on the printer and it comes with cylinders to connect the pieces together. I used a bit of glue (Gluemasters thick viscosity) to stick it all together.
I dedicate this model to my daughter, who pretended version 1 and 2 were good enough even though they weren't.
Will this mask fit my head? Good question, but hard to answer. It fits my 17 year old daughters head at a 22" ball cap circumference and 23.5" from crown to jaw circumference, if I wear a thick winter hat and increase both of those numbers by 1.5" to 23.5" and 25" it barely fits. It certainly doesn't fit my adult sized head (the one in the link below does though). If you are printing this for a younger child, you may want to scale it down slightly based on your own measurements.
Some simple assembly instructions:

- The cylinder parts 1, can be glued into the slots on the bottom of part 3, and then connected to the top of parts 4. (You will need to remove the support on the bottom of part 3). Ensure that the horns are aligned properly before letting it fully dry.
- The cylinder parts 2, are then added to the bottom of part 4 (you will need to remove the supports at the bottom of part 4). You can then glue and align the horns onto the main mask part 5.
- They eyes of part 6 are added from the inside of the mask, you can use some glue (hot glue is probalby best) to attach them firmly to the mask.
- Part 7 is an optional part in case you want to hang it on you wall. (I actually have a newer version of the wall hanger as one of the other profile in case you want to hang the Needle print with it).
