Description

Boost Me (for free)

I work hard on these and never plan on monetizing. But I always appreciate the boost.

This is an adult sized mask of the “Pure Vessel” from the video game Hollow Knight. My previous masks fit teenagers and below, but for this, I wanted to create one that a would fit a larger audience (also somewhat appropriate since the pure vessel is much bigger than Hornet or The Knight"). Additionally, the design of the Pure Vessel is more nuanced than the other two and it requires some “artistic license” to convert a simple 2d video game image into something 3d and suitable to work as a mask (perhaps you imagine the smaller sub horns to be different, and I am okay with that).

The size requires multiple prints, I did mine in 4, but the version I uploaded does it in 5. I printed mine in a white matte pla which I think works well, although I may paint over it with a white paint to better hide the seams (not done yet in the cover images). You will need to glue the  2 central halves of the mask together, which is greatly simplified with an overlapping seam. The horns can be attached purely by friction (the square blocks connect 2 of the pieces together), but should probably be glued together to make it a bit more solid.

If you have an abnormally large head, your best bet would be to print it and cut away some of the edges on the back. Even with this divided desing I still ended up using up the space on the printer (you could probably rotate it creatively, but the amount of support would be obnoxious).

My son would like another Hollow Knight themed mask to be designed, so that may come later, but no promises.

I made it a little while ago. https://makerworld.com/models/1106546 it fits my 16 year old perfectly, but a bit small for my head.
