Boost Me (for free)

I usually don’t ask for this, but I’ve noticed that many creators actively encourage it on other platforms—and it makes sense, as it helps increase visibility. So, if you can follow me, it would make difference. It’s a great way to support my work and show appreciation. For more insight subscribe my blog at: https://designrepcom.com/ This design is freely available for the community, but if you enjoy my work and would like to show your support, you can boost this project. Thanks!

 The case with lid

This module is part of the Multi-Modular Storage System -MMSS.

Already prepared housing modules:

It works on the current printers: P1P, P1S and X1C.

Features

Here the idea of the MMSS will be maintained, that is, maximum flexibility. So, it can adapt to many situations.

There's no need to occupy all the spaces, you add modules only when necessary and, what you want.

It will help to organize and keep the modules fixed relative to each other.

The lid

This is not just a simple lid, it can store the PTFE tubes.

The box

The box uses MMSS, with centering springs on the sides. A simple but functional design.

The assembly

As you can see on the image bellow, all the parts have enough space between them for the lid the close. The highlighted blue surface is the rib for the PTFE tubes, you can see the full assembled hotends in black on the middle and the higher zone is the blade protection zone of the original scraper.

All-Stars

The connection is made with the stars in red. They will be the ones that will serve as an interface with the modules. This allows a correct spacing between modules, as well as their fitting, both horizontal and vertical.

  • You have 2 types of stars, some for the base, thicker, and others for the top, thinner.
  • The ones you see half the size can be used on the frame edges but, only if you fill like it's necessary.

The blocks

Blocks are volumes that you can use to place your things.

There is a base one, which is the smallest block you can see on the image, all the others are multiples of them, don't worry about the stacked tolerance, I've already worried about it for you... otherwise, if you don't know what it is, even better ;)

Any color you like.

Yes! We have one of the best FDM printers out there. But, if that wasn't already cool enough, you may have the best FDM color system, the “magical” AMS.

If you don't have one, and can buy it, then, don't waste your time, get one, or two :)

Jokes aside, buy only what you can. The simple unit is fantastic and let you print with more than one material with a little of patience.

Print instructions

A 3mf file as a suggestion to print these parts. Try using the texture plate, the final surface quality will be very nice.

You will need a couple of parts that make part of the MMSS basic system:

End notes

This is then one of the direct applications of MMSS, others will follow…

Change Log

Sometimes I update or add more print profiles, they can be found under the section “Download STL/CAD Files”

  • Some members have reported that the lid may appear a little loose, I think, it is related to the depth of the fitting zone between the two components. This update may resolve this situation. (Thanks to @KardesDesign and @SilvioSilva_843588)
  • Added a lid with a spiral path for some of you who buy PTFE tubes without the pre-cuts. Length approx.: 2.7meters
  • Small change to the spiral lid and normal concentrical lid.
  • Added some clips for those of you who find that the spiral is a little large for the PTFE tubes. “Clip_for_Spiral.stl”.
  • Added a new clip for the spiral lid (the previous one could interfere in some cases with some parts of the box.
    • Changes to to the 3mf files, something must have changed on Bambu Studio. if you noticed something wrong, this version should fix that. Thanks to ChristianN that notified me about this problem.
  • Added a new lid, for those who need the spiral lid and use one of the AMS feeder's modules, found here - File name: "Box_lid_high"

Curious About My Tools? Check This Out!

For those of you who often ask about the tools I use to bring ideas to life, this article, The Journey From Idea To Object (Part I), offers some insights into the initial stages. It highlights the use of various tools, including software like Autodesk Fusion for CAD design, Blender for render and Bambu Studio for 3D printing preparation, and other... So, if you're curious about the software and hardware too, that I've incorporate in my workflow, take a look at the link for more details!" – Visit https://designrepcom.com/ for much more.
