The Ultimate Modular Spool (UMS)

Description
The Ultimate Modular Spool (aka UMS).
if you like it… please boost it! thanks
Goals for this design:
- Modular
- Small footprint when not in use
- Hot Swap a spool
- Small 250g spool compatible with insert
Print the following:
- Plate 1 - print 2 times - designed to be the same regardless unless you add the metal inserts
- Print this or procure bolts and inserts (see below)
- Print whichever insert you need for the inner diameter of the cardboard spool you have
- I suggest printing one for each side but that's entirely up to you
- If you need one not listed in the files then give me the dimensions and I will make an insert for you
51 mm inner dimension (fits perfectly for the external arm that came with the P1S but won't work with the AMS Lite)
71 mm outer diameter (if the spool you are using is that size or very close then you don't need to print an insert)
To friction fit you'll need:
- AMS Descant Holder - https://makerworld.com/en/models/17406
- You may also want to print a couple of these https://makerworld.com/en/models/775619
- External Spool Holder - 4 count of 6mm x 60-65mm bolts https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DKXBQ1QP and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5QK7YGQ
- Tips, recommended to push the inserts evenly https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CH3HJ2DR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
- You will likely need to drill out the extra bits of filament after pressing the inserts into the plastic as the plastic seems to get into the insert
- An FYI, the bolt heads will run into the external arm a little bit but it does not seem to harm it
Why do I need to friction fit? because not all spools are the same height and if you don't have a notch or use friction then the AMS will have retraction issues when putting the filament back into the AMS on the spool.
Information Only:
AMS Maximums - 50-68mm width and 197-200mm diameter (reference here)

Other nice things to print or get for this:
RFID - https://makerworld.com/en/models/434542 (hole is in spool, insert from back.. it is a tight fit)

Below are the approximate measurements that I used to determine dimensions for inserts and the insert column can be used a a guide for which insert to use:
Outer dimension is irrelevant for this spool but is nonetheless listed anyway.
| Maker | Inner | Outer | Height | Insert | Bolt Size |
| Bambu Lab Refill | 83 | 88 | 59 | Bambu Lab | 65mm |
| Bambu Lab No Refill | 83 | 89 | 59 | Bambu Lab | 65mm |
| Inland No Refill PLA+ | 77 | 88.5 | 57 | Inland No Refill PLA+ | 60-65mm |
| Inland Refill PLA+ | 93 | 97 | 55 | Inland PLA+ | 60mm |
| eSun No Refill | 83 | 90 | 51.5 | Bambu Lab | 60mm |
*** if you need a different insert not listed then give me the dimensions and I will create one for you.
