Description

Pencil case with hinge designed to be printed in place. Printed with supports for small overhang. “GTS” is not in the model but any letters can be added to the suppressed cutextrude in solidworks, in bambu studio, etc.

Unfortunately the case split while trying to free the hinge from itself. The hinge seems pretty frozen in place and unable to move.

Nice to print as there is no assembly required. It is a bit hard to open so it could use a tab or something to grip to open. Perhaps a small tab on each cover at the opening that you would use your fingers twisting motion to separate the covers.

Printed well without supports and looks nice! There is a slight amount of friction when opening and closing due to layer lines, but this is pretty minor.

Great case useful for me. I use transparent petg filament. And add my son's name on the cover. It be come a good gift for him. The only problem is the case can not close prefect, there some gap, see my pic.
