Apple Pencil Case with hinges (print in place) - Updated version 1.5
This is a neat Apple Pencil case with hinges that prints in place. It houses the 2nd generation pencils goings forward, e.g. 166mm length and a diameter of 8.9mm.
Updated version: Upon request I have added a magnet to the middle of the case which holds the pencil in place.
You can change the color of the decors in the slicer to your liking. You will need five 6x4 magnets (6mm diameter, 4mm height) which keep the case safely closed. I have tested this case for quite some time now and there is no accidental opening when you put the case into your backpack or the like.
Hint for installing magnets:
Start with one lid of the case first, bottom or top. After pushing in two magnets into the lid, place magnets on top of the magnets just pushed into the lid. Mark the top of the lastly added magnets with a black pen. Now push these marked magnets into the other lid at their corresponding locations. The marked sides of the magnets need to face downwards. Do not mix the position of marked magnets!
For the magnet holding the pencil in the case: place a magnet on the pencil, mark the top of the magnet with a black pen. Push the marked magnet into the case, marked side facedown.
Also: You will need some pressure to push the magnets into the holes. Use a piece of plastic/wood/box/etc. to apply proper force to the magnet. It will work!
Have fun and let me know what you think!
