I'm an IT System Engineer. I like computer and console gaming. I've really enjoyed other people's 3d Prints, and have finally decided to join the 3d Print crowd.
I'm hoping to print some fun and functional models.

I'm new to 3d printing but I heard that moisture can be a real problem. So I bought a Vacbird storage system that came with bags and a vacuum to help keep moisture and dust out of my filament. When I first tried to use the system, I thought the bags or vacuum were bad as I couldn't get it to work correctly. Thus, this handy gem.

I printed the 17mm no parts ring. It works great, but tends to become unaligned and even fall apart completely. It would be nice if there was some kind of guide to keep the rings aligned.

I wanted a slightly larger surface, so I cloned and then mirrored the bed. Unfortunately, this resulted in one of the screw holes being goofy (reversed) so I need to make a goofy screw. But the bed looks amazing! I used a black/purple PLA Silk filament and I really like the result.

The petals are very thin and therefore very fragile. The end result was a pretty little daisy with one slightly bent petal (there is beauty in imperfection).

This is a great fidget spinner! Using a rail system inside is a great idea, and (in my opinion) makes this the best planetary spinner design. Great job!
