I tried the lighter version first, but found I prefer the weight and it just feels stronger. I knew I would need this and printed it early in my 3d printing life... but as I shop around for new filament brands... MAN this comes in handy! Still works like a charm. Top 10 best prints in 3 years time

I have made several of these as gifts. People love them! Fantastic design. I made slight changes, like adding a small nub to the top of the door and a small negative space so the door snaps in. Otherwise, no changes needed.

Amazing and very fun to assemble. by far the most complicated 'assembly required' 3d print I have made. I made 2. One to practice assembling and one with the needed knowledge to assemble perfectly. I used all the magnets on the 2nd one with nice clean prints and recommended oil/greasing and it came out great and works fantastic!

I really like this design, but it is just too fragile. I tried PLA/Petg and ABS and all break near the hub... not so i cant use them... but if I am a little rough with them trying to pull them off the A1 AMS, it just cracks. I don't want to be gentle all the time. Aint got time for that

Love the design, but they end up slipping on the threads, or easy to cross thread. The other issue I had, was some of my spools have holes right where the arms are supposed to go to stop the spool from moving, so I had to try to align them right on the spool supports. Not a design flaw, just a bad spool design.

I love the design and it makes sense... but these didn't work for me. the spool I was trying to lock in was too big for even these.

Both profiles are amazing. Use them both all the time

There have been so many designs to hold your filament. Even spools with built in slots... but this is still my most used method. I love it because it doesn't interfere with the spool sitting next to it on my shelf. Keeps the spool wound tightly too.

Did this in a rainbow and he turned out great! I did make him smaller. Went to 20mm tall.

I added the spool locks to the tilt version and my tool head kept colliding on taller prints. This solved my issue.

I have made a few of these for gifts and they amaze every time. I sliced a piece of each color and blew it up to label each side in that matching color

I modified this with the Monster Jam logo for a 4yr old Mega fan who is always using utensils for microphones. This is his new favorite item and it turned out amazing!

I looked at several designs and this one made the most sense for how I wanted to mount it. Works like a charm. Thank you for this very original design.
