Nice clip. I was using a simple open design previously but over time the clips relaxed and stopped working. I don't think this one will.

Sweet pic! What filament is the ProClip printed in? Thanks for your post!

That's Bambu PLA-CF. I figured the carbon fibre would help with grippiness and it works great.

But you have used the part incorrectly - the open end comes through the hole.

Printed a single one to test, was convinced and then printed a bunch for all my spools. So easy to use! The holes were a bit tight, but as recommended after sliding a piece of filament trough they work just perfect. Printed with the official Profile, Overture PLA on Textured PEI Plate. Update: I noticed, that when storing filaments for a while, some of them tend to break around the lower part of the clip, so I moved on to another model.

mind sharing what clip you moved on to? I loved this clip but am also having the issue with filament breaking at the clip when removing it.

The print profile is no longer public
When printing in ABS on textured PEI I find that small prints with low surface area contacting the build plate will have a high likely chance of failure if they do not include a brim, as seen here. If you're planning to print this on anything other than PLA, unless your confident in your build plate adhesion I would recommend printing w/ a brim. EDIT: I totally didn't see that the OP specifically said glue stick should be used in the description. Updating the rating as I'll chalk up my failure to user error. But I've uploaded some print profiles with brims for anyone that has issues.

I have no doubts that with glue it would have adhered just fine, but i use my PEI specifically to avoid having to use gluesticks in the first place. This PEI plate works perfectly without any adhesives, but I've found that specifically with ABS/ASA if the part is very small with low surface area contact there is a high chance that it will come off the plate without a brim. I decided to print these in ABS so i wouldn't need to worry about removing them when drying my spools. I'm sure if these were printed in PLA I also wouldn't have had an issue. Edit: I've updated my rating and added a bit more to the comment to add additional context. Thanks for reaching out, i really like your clip design!

Cool cool - glad you got it sorted out. To be fair (and to not annihilate the print profile rating lol) the tips did/do say to use glue stick which it will print perfectly with. Anyways I’m glad you like it and happy you got it setup how you want it. 👌 Thanks and enjoy!

ProClip V2 Low Profile 12-Pack
Love these things. I always hated having to feed the filament through the holes and then cut that peice off when I want to print again. This keeps the filament right in line and no bending of the end. Thanks for the make, already printed out 3 sets of 12. Only have 3 left and looks like I'll need to print out more. I went with the low profile, as I didn't want it to stick out when the spools are full.
