What's the "other 3rd" of your making journey? | Survey Hi! I'm writing my essay about maker culture and need your input. The essay hypothesis: the model you design and the final print you hold make up only two-thirds of 3D making. The remaining third lives in the story behind the creation: the memory that inspired it, the problem it solves, the feeling of holding something you once only imagined, and the connection you build when you share that journey. Making is as much an emotional act as it is a technical one. This emotional core brings deep, personal fulfillment to every creator, and holds the unique power to inspire others to start their own making journeys, too. Questions: 1. How much do you enjoy discovering the "why" behind a project? 2. Does a personal story make a project more memorable/inspiring? 3. Do you share the story behind your own prints? Be brutally honest please. All opinions, positive or negative, are valuable. Thanks!

This hobby runs on two things: endless spools of filament (💰) and pure joy. My wallet cries, but I have absolute joy. #Vote #Questions #Milestone

A few weeks ago, I visited Bambu Lab’s headquarters and their flagship store, and figured I’d share some photos here. Photo 1: The reception area at their Shenzhen office — modern, open, and feels like a nice mix of tech office and maker showcase. Photo 2: Their booth at an anime convention, with signage highlighting they’ve been the #1 global desktop 3D printer brand for 3 years straight. Photos 3–5: Their downtown flagship store, built around a huge, fully 3D‑printed CyberBrick City display. They also have hands‑on sections: you can test printers, browse MakerWorld designs, and join on‑site workshops — kind of an Apple Store vibe but for 3D printing. Both kids and adults were clearly into the models, and it had a pretty relaxed, fun maker atmosphere. #Bambu Labs Store
