Not sure how many people actually browse the MW Community posts, but I wanted to share a project that started as a 3D print on my X1 Carbon. I’ll be uploading a video on the process to my YouTube channel this Tuesday.

Open Letter to Gov. Bob Ferguson
(WA)
I sent the following letter regarding
HB2320 and HB2321 out of concern for their potential impact on education, small businesses, and domestic innovation. I'm sharing it publicly in the interest of transparency and informed discussion.
Gov. Ferguson,
I am a high school Career & Technical Education (CTE) teacher and small business owner in Nevada. I am writing to express serious concern regarding Washington State’s HB2320 and HB2321 and their potential consequences if enacted.
As written, these bills appear to rely on technological capabilities that are largely theoretical at present. Mandating such systems risks significantly increasing equipment costs, which would likely restrict access to these technologies in educational and workforce training environments. For CTE programs in particular, affordability and accessibility are critical to preparing students for modern manufacturing and engineering careers.
I am also concerned that these measures would disproportionately burden emerging small businesses, while consolidating advantage among the largest corporations already dominating the marketplace. This outcome would run counter to broader goals of innovation, competition, and domestic entrepreneurship.
Finally, placing the responsibility for implementing these requirements on manufacturers that are predominantly foreign—particularly Chinese firms—raises the risk of unintended intellectual property exposure for American designers, educators, and small manufacturers.
For these reasons, I believe HB2320 and HB2321 present significant practical, economic, and educational risks. Should either bill reach your desk, I respectfully urge you to withhold your signature.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Casey Hudson

I’ve received significant feedback that pulling fumes directly from the H-series chamber is a BAD idea (over-cooling or over-working the heater), but my initial testing suggests it’s a non-issue. Hopefully some of you will find it interesting:

Blown away by this gorgeous model AND how cleanly it printed in Bambu’s black ABS-GF. I did see the note about using PLA-CF because of shrinkage, so I’m hoping this will fit, but I took a chance, and I can’t knock the model. Thanks Clough42! Your channel is a big inspiration and at least a good chunk of the reason I purchased the H2D.

Printed beautifully in Bambu Lab ABS-GF. Part really doesn’t even appear 3D printed. Thank you for including Functional Print Friday’s profile on your model. For a video review of this model, please follow the link below:

Thank YOU so much for all of the support on #ZipTieBuddy! One week in and so many of you have downloaded, printed, rated, boosted, etc. This photo is from one of my projects I’m using “Zip-Tie Buddy” on; a 1968 Ford Mustang. I encourage you to share your “Zip-Tie Buddy” projects too, no matter how small, using the #ZipTieBuddy hashtag! I look forward to seeing the creative uses you all come up with!
Sincerely,
Casey
