kinda random post here but I think I'm gonna design a 3d printed(or at least have a lot of 3d printed parts) Gyrocopter! also known as an auto-gyro, it's a mix of an airplane and a helicopter, because it has a big rotor above, but it isn't powered, instead it acts as a constantly moving wing, and propulsion is provided by a propeller(absolutely awesome alliteration, I know, OH MY GOSH ANOTHER ALLITERATION!) pushing it forward, you can look it up if you want to know more (you should, petersripol has a great video on it) but here's some notes. also, instead of one propeller, I'll be using the Flite Test EZ power pack for the electronics, meaning turning uses differential thrust, and pitch is controlled by speex(horrible, I know, but the alternative is making my own little power pack with a servo, and I'd probably have to make it way bigger, and I just kinda don't wanna do that) anyway, -King

Sorry I haven't posted more often, life's happening right now, but here's a video of the claymore working, I know the range looks small, but trust me, the springs are just worn out. also the catapult trigger at different times, but that's just my poor knot tying skills.

Quick update, made a model for a slingshot claymore out of Flite Test Maker foam, highly reccomend, or for cheaper Adam's Redi-Board, as well as working on making my original design 3d printable, for the slingshot, I have a release in mind, I just have to design/print it, and since it has a literal cup, you can launch almost ANYTHING. Actually, purge poop would be pretty good ammo for these, now that I think of it. anyway, I'll probably update later tonight or tommorow. Happy printing, -King

UPDATE: just want people to be aware that I don't have access to my Mac as much as I would want, just because of custody, but I do have access to my workshop/garage, so i can make foam/cardboard models almost anytime, so I am working on a slingshot varient of the claymore, as well as adapting another makers nerf gun mounted grenade launcher for my purposes.

hey, I built this airsoft claymore, just wondering if you guys want me to post instructions/parts/plans for it, it's made out of 6mm foamboard, although you can easily substitute cardboard. as for ammunition, it uses airsoft bbs, but you can use pretty much anything. it has a range of about 5-7 feet, but that's just with my cheap springs. the time/effort needed is about 2-3 hours, and mostly just cutting out templates.

so, I've had a project in the works, an aircraft carrier with a built inn catapult for jets/planes, and thinking of making a B-29 with a bomb bay that opens either B-17 style,(straight down, into the wind,) or B-24 style, retracting into the fuselage, what do you think?
